Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can also be stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 receiving rave reviews from musicians and music blogs as well as the media. She's recorded a variety of well-known song covers, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) The songs were widely appreciated. The singer gained further attention thanks to a Facebook post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is the discovery of an attic piano and becoming fascinated by the sounds it would produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not for work or as a hobby, but rather to develop. For this reason, she began writing music that was her own. Like Bjork and Bjork, she also credits Leonard Cohen as an influence. She decided to start performing their songs in public after her mother said they could help people not gain fame through her music, but rather to help everyone else realize their own importance and how they impact the world. The piano was first played by her when she was just 6 years old and began to write music by the time she was nine. Her family didn't hear about it until the age of 14. Aurora wasn't a dream. According to her, she simply loves writing music. Music is for her one of the most efficient ways to convey anything.
